The Chamber Room Espresso & Brew Bar was launched at a soft opening on Halloween night. A four 'course' taster set brew menu was offered. Guests perched at the brew bar to taste lemongrass & ginger cold brew tea from Chamellia, two Kenyan filter coffees side by side, a single shot of espresso roasted by Code Black Coffee Roasters & a 70% Mork taster. Taste.. Savour... Enjoy? Pay what you think we're worth... Brew demonstrations & presentation saw bright eyes & scatty chatter until the moon was covered in deep, dark, misty clouds.
Today, TCR saw the brew bar full of eyes of interest, peering at the V60 station to see what's on offer. Another Kenyan you ask? This time roasted by Single Origin Roasters in Sydney. It was the pick of the day. Aromas of blackcurrant with flavours of blood orange & grapefruit acidity, transforms you back to a taste from your childhood. Picking oranges & eating the juicy flesh, you bite into a seed. The flavour is intense but mellows out as the orange cells burst on your lips. You are taken away, even if it's just for a second..
